Welcome to my website! Please click the tabs at the top of the screen to view my pages. Don't forget to sign my guestbook before you leave.

I moved to Honolulu in 2003. Before Hawaii, I lived in Boulder, CO, for 5 years. I grew up in Youngstown (Canfield), Ohio.

My greatest loves would have to be working with Macintosh computers, driving my Porsche 944 Turbo, and skiing.

I had a Shetland Sheepdog puppy named Mosby. He was born on November 1st, 2009. He weighed 2.5 pounds at 9 weeks. He died of kidney failure on July 6th, 2010.

This website is being served by my old MacBook (Core 2 Duo) running Mac OS X Server (v10.6.x). Everything on this site is created dynamically. If I want to add a picture, or even a directory of pictures, all I have to do is drop the picture/directory into my web directory. The website then builds the pages and even creates the thumbnail images for me. I built the site using HTML, a lot of PHP (with gd lib), JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, and MySQL. Since I don't believe in WYSIWYG editors, I used BBEdit to manually code the entire site.

People always ask me what I'm up to in Hawaii... Am I scuba diving? Do I surf? Am I spending a lot of time at the beach? Well, here's the short answer...
For the first half of geological time our ancestors were bacteria. Most creatures still are bacteria, and each one of our trillions of cells is a colony of bacteria.
